These Easy Egg-free Breakfast Ideas are all Gluten-free and perfect for busy mornings and allergy-free needs. Many have high protein content, so you can start your day with good macronutrients.
Whether it’s back to school, before work or just needing recipes without eggs, these recipes are fit for adults and kids — easy to make, broadly appealing, and many can be made ahead of time for meal prep.
For those with dietary restrictions, many/most of these recipes are also Paleo, Vegan, AIP, VAD (and several are Keto) — whole food, real food recipes.
Protein content
One egg has 6 grams of protein. Since we ideally get protein at breakfast time, I’ve labeled all of these egg-free recipes that have 6g of protein or more!, so you know which recipes will give you that valuable protein boost — to start your day!
As you’ll see …
… many of the recipes in this collection have more protein than one egg, two eggs or even three eggs!
Muffin recipes
My favorite baked good, muffins are so satisfying, and at least for me, always a little magical — like healthy cake. I make muffins all year long, and put them in the freezer for easy lunch box and breakfast gems.
Some of the muffins I share here are high-protein, making them even more ideal whether or not you’re serving meat alongside.

The following muffins are Gluten-free, Paleo, Vegan and AIP.
Strawberry Muffins (also a Keto option) — 11 grams protein
Blueberry Muffins — 23 grams protein
Apple Cinnamon Muffins — 12 grams protein
Cranberry Muffins — 11 grams protein
Beef & Savory Herb Muffins — 24 grams protein
The following egg-free breakfast muffins are Gluten-free and Vegan, plus oftentimes Paleo, VAD and Keto as well, as designated below.

Cappuccino Chocolate Chip Muffins (Low ox, Paleo) — 17 grams protein

Oats and Oatmeal recipes
Oats are my favorite breakfast staple. They’re hearty, full of Vitamin B1 (which most people are deficient in), have fiber that’s great for the GI tract and nutrition that nourishes for hours (they don’t digest too fast).
Some of these oat recipes have extra protein boosts, to make them more well rounded breakfasts.
All of the following recipes are gluten-free. Most are VAD.

Egg-free breakfast recipes: Hash and Meat recipes

Turkey, Apples and Onion Hash (Paleo, AIP, Whole30, GAPS) is a little sweet and definitely kid-friendly, a little like chicken and apple sausages. For kids raised on real food, this hash is delicious.
I love hashes because breakfast should definitely include protein, but that can be hard when eggs aren’t an option. Hashes provide meat that’s breakfast-friendly, without the added cost of buying pre-made sausages. — 37 grams protein
Ground Turkey, Apples and Parsnip Hash (Paleo, AIP, Whole30, VAD) — Carrots or potatoes can also be subbed in, but parsnips get nice and crispy when fried up, and they make a great hash each fall and winter. — 17 grams protein
Beef and Apple Breakfast Sausages (Paleo, AIP, Whole30, VAD, GAPS) — 20 grams protein
Applegate Farms Breakfast Sausages (Paleo, AIP, Whole30, VAD to some extent) — 18 grams protein (for 6 sausages)
Apple, Pork and Bacon Breakfast Casserole with Delicata Squash (Paleo, AIP, Whole30, great for meal prep) — 27 grams protein
Biscuits and Breakfast Sandwiches

Sausage Biscuits (Paleo, AIP) — 16 grams protein
Biscuits and Gravy — Meal prep this one, for a quick assembly any morning. Egg free biscuits. (Paleo, AIP) — 23 grams protein
15 Gluten-free Wrap Recipes — Many of these are lunch recipes, but there are several breakfast recipes: ones with bacon or sausage, for example, or the sweet ones with nut butter, yogurt, jam, honey and/or fresh fruit. (Paleo, Vegan, AIP, Keto, GAPS, Low FODMAP, VAD)
Waffles & Pancakes
We eat waffles so often — because the waffle iron does all the work. I find pancakes to be less helpful on busy mornings, except for sheet pan pancakes (see below). But I’ve included a couple of favorite regular pancake recipes here, too, with several favorite egg free waffle recipes!
Some of these waffle recipes are fortified with protein, to make them an even better choice, or serve alongside protein.
All of these recipes are gluten-free.

Super High Protein Waffle (VAD, Vegan) — 23 grams protein
Masa Waffles (VAD, Vegan)
Beans & Rice Flour Waffles (VAD, Vegan) — 22 grams protein
Easy Oat Flour Waffles (VAD, Vegan) — 19 grams protein
Bean and Oat Waffles (VAD, Vegan) — 17 grams protein
White Rice Flour Waffles (VAD) — 6g protein (This recipe is not egg-free, but it contains only 1 egg white, so I’ve included it here because the recipe does work for some who are not as sensitive or who can have one egg white divided among several servings.)
Parsnip Waffles — (Paleo, VAD, Vegan) 23 grams protein
Egg-free Cassava Waffles (Paleo AIP) — 29 grams protein
Egg-free Plantain Waffles (Paleo AIP)
Oat Flour Pancakes (VAD, Vegan) — 14 grams protein
Sheet Pan Pancakes (Paleo AIP) — 11 grams protein
Best AIP Pancakes (no banana, Paleo, AIP, Low FODMAP) — 9 grams protein
Yogurt recipes
Yogurt’s great to make ahead of time, and then enjoy with no work: Just add granola, or top a waffle with it — for an amazing breakfast. Similarly, yogurt can be stirred into oats, chia or basil seeds for overnight puddings the next days — a great meal prep option.
Lastly, I share here also a yogurt cheesecake which is fun to meal prep and sublime for breakfast.

Yogurt Cheesecake (Paleo, AIP, Keto, Primal, GAPS)
Homemade Coconut Milk Yogurt (AIP, Keto, Paleo, Whole30 and GAPS) — A lot less expensive than buying store bought, and with the best real food ingredients.

Cashew Yogurt (Paleo, GAPS, Whole30, Vegan) — 18 grams protein
Smoothie recipes
Everyone loves smoothies, and they’re often fortified to include protein. My favorite smoothies include either collagen for protein and/or oats for fiber, lasting carb energy and added nutrition.

Oatmeal Banana Berry Smoothie (VAD, Vegan) — 8 grams protein
Strawberry Orange Banana Smoothie (Paleo, AIP, Vegan, GAPS) — 8 grams protein

Protein boost to smoothies
- Add one tablespoon of nut or seed butter to any of the above smoothies for an extra 3 to 4 grams of protein.
- Or, add one scoop of collagen for an extra 10 grams of protein. (Here’s the best 3rd party tested, pesticide-free collagen. Use code BEAUTIFUL10, for 10% off your order at check out.)
