Ingredients in Chia Pudding
- chia seeds — My favorite thing about chia seeds is they’re high in fiber which is great for regularity and detoxing daily with good bowel movements.
- milk of choice
For exact amounts, and the full recipe, see the Recipe card below.
How to Make 2-Ingredient Chia Pudding
- In a small mixing bowl, combine chia seeds and milk.
- Allow to sit 15 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes in the beginning to keep the seeds from sinking and clumping before they expand.
- Serve with toppings.

Variations on Chia Pudding
Instead of using milk, other liquids also work well with chia seeds:
Just allow the chia seeds to soak in any of the above liquids long enough to soften. Or soak overnight (in any of the probiotic liquids listed) to reduce anti-nutrients in chia seeds.
How to garnish or what to serve on chia pudding
Garnish the original recipe, or any of the variations listed above with: cream, dairy-free cream, extra milk, or whipped cream — like the coffee one! Drizzle with pure maple syrup, or use your favorite natural sweetener.
Also, garnish with the usuals!: fresh berries, sliced banana, or even chocolate or the best carob chips.
Consider making a smoothie bowl type treat with chia pudding — beautify with toppings!
Lastly, try any of these amazing naturally-sweetened sauces to garnish 2-Ingredient Chia Pudding:
- Beautiful Rhubarb Sauce — spring
- Strawberry Sauce — summer
- Sautéed Caramelized Pears — fall and winter
For Whole30, do not sweeten, but enjoy with fresh fruit.
