Dragon Fruit Smoothie with Berries & Protein combines one of the most popular fruits in America with smoothie classics. If you haven’t had dragon fruit yet, it’s easy to find ready to use in the freezer section of most grocery stores, or find it fresh in gourmet markets or Asian grocery stores.
Dragon fruits are popular because they’re beautiful to look at and good to eat, not because they’re a super food. I like that actually, because it provides balance. They do offer fiber, which is one of the most important roles that fruits play in our diet!
And they make us happy because they are just so playful — and gorgeously pink (if you choose a pink dragon fruit).
Dragon fruits come in two colors on the inside, pink or white, and taste like a cross between a kiwi and a pear.
Dragon Fruit Smoothie with Berries works great for most diets including Paleo, Vegan, AIP, Gluten-free and Whole30.
This treat contains no added sweetener, so it’s extra healthy.
