Dragon Fruit Popsicles are vibrant, refreshing and fun to make. Hydrating and rich in electrolytes, they’re as healthy as they are pretty!
Optionally, make Dragon Fruit Popsicles high in protein, too.
This fun summer treat is perfect for most real food diets, including Paleo, Vegan, AIP, Whole30, Gluten-free and more.

Ingredients in Dragon Fruit Popsicles
The ingredients in this healthy frozen dessert are:
- dragon fruit — fresh or frozen (easy to find in the freezer section of most grocery stores now, either in cubes or smoothie packets)
- banana
- strawberries
- fresh lemon or lime juice
- juice or milk of choice — Choose 100% juices like apple or white grape, or dairy-free milks like “clean” almond or oat milks. Other juices work well, too, including naturally sweetened lemonade or Homemade Limeade.
- electrolytes — Use this Homemade Electrolyte Powder, or just use this potassium, which is the most important electrolyte, the main one that gets depleted when we exercise, plus an optional pinch of salt.
- optional collagen powder, or protein powder (for Vegan)
How to make Dragon Fruit Popsicles
This popsicle recipe comes together fast in the blender, as a smoothie.
The added benefit to this approach is: There’s no settling of the ingredients as they freeze. So the popsicles stay well mixed and creamy.
- Place all of the ingredients in the blender. Purée until smooth.
- Pour into popsicle molds. Freeze 6 hours or overnight.
- Unmold by running under warm water, and enjoy!

These were very refreshing! Very easy to make, and our first official cold treat of the summer season. We only had four popsicle molds, so I put the rest into ice cube trays. And we’ll just have iced fruit cubes in a bowl, maybe with a drizzle of honey on top :p
I didn’t realize there were 3-4 different colors of dragonfruit, and my normal grocery store only sells the white fleshed variety. So my popsicles are not a vibrant purple, but a very pretty light pink. I know the red/purple is sweeter, so I’ll keep my eye out for it, and will definitely be putting this in the normal routine of recipes. 🙂 Thank you Megan! Happy summer!
