Make Concord Grape Juice Popsicles this summer for the best tasting refreshment, for kids and grown ups alike! This was my favorite flavor of popsicle growing up, and all you need is juice plus one other optional ingredient.

Ingredients in Grape Juice Popsicles
Good quality grape juice is all that’s needed to make grape juice popsicles. BUT, if you want the best texture and don’t mind a teeny bit of added sweetener, I’ll tell you why it helps.
Sugars don’t just make foods sweet. They also lower the freezing temperature of foods.
Instead of being icy, popsicles with a little added sweetener have a nicer mouthfeel and melt in a way more similar to store bought popsicles — slowly, with a smoother texture and with a little bit of a syrupy quality.
Again, for the healthiest version, if you know your kids won’t care, and if it’s all the same to you: Just use good grape juice. I like this organic Concord Grape Juice product. It tastes exactly like the Welch’s grape juice I loved as a kid, but it’s healthier.
How to make
- Measure the juice into a liquid measuring cup. Add the optional sweetener. Stir briefly to dissolve.
- Pour into popsicle molds.
- Freeze a minimum of 4 to 6 hours. If needed, use a warm water bath to serve, (which helps loosen the popsicle from the mold without causing it to melt too much).
