How to make fresh tarragon dressing
The key to this dressing is the fresh herb, tarragon, and the creaminess that hemp seeds yield when puréed! The fabulous outcome is simply accomplished in the blender:
- Combine all ingredients in high-powered blender and puree on medium-high speed until smooth, about 50 seconds.
- Serve, or chill until needed.
Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days.
What to put this dressing on
Of course, Creamy Tarragon Dressing is amazing on your favorite lettuces, especially romaine hearts and butter lettuce.
You can also mix it into hearty salads, like: egg salad, potato salad, pasta salad, chopped salad or chef salad.
Try this thick creamy dressing with main dish proteins that are served with lettuce, like: Salmon Patties, smoked fish, hard boiled eggs, canned tuna, on Salade Nicoise or Meal Prep Chicken Thighs.
Set it out among mezza dishes, to provide an herbal Mediterranean condiment.
Lastly, it’s great served on the side, how ranch dressing is sometimes served, so each person can pour their own, or dip.

I have to cook the garlic before I use it since my husband is sensitive to it. Should I cook 2 cloves? Also, is it 1/2c dried tarragon?
Megan Stevens says
I would use two cloves garlic, as you say, since it will mellow with cooking. The tarragon needs to be fresh; that is the aliveness of this recipe. If you need to use dried then I would use 1 T. …and rehydrate it a bit by having the water in the recipe be hot. Then chill the whole recipe after blending. Good luck!
