It’s something almost every pantry needs: A real food Grass-fed Bone Broth Bouillon! I know most of us gave up on that a long time ago, but now it exists: convenient, nutritious, high in protein and so helpful to keep on hand. Use Grass-fed Bouillon in soups, sauces, by the mug — and in every recipe where you need more nutrition or flavor.
This product and recipe is actually better than grass-fed: It’s made from U.S. pasture-raised cattle. And it’s produced by a small company that actually cares about animal welfare and taking care of the environment. So: Big excitement about this new pantry staple!
Suitable for all real food diets that include meat, this recipe (and ingredient) is Ancestral, Paleo, Whole30, AIP, Keto, Low Carb, THM, VAD, GAPS, Gluten-free and allergy-free, plus more.
Use this product and recipe whenever you need broth for any cooking needs, or by the mug, when you don’t have broth on hand. It’s a wonderful stand-in — so good that, for many, it replaces ready-made broth when it’s most often needed.

Best Grass-fed Bouillon 3 ways
This article contains three things:
- A link to the plain Beef Bone Broth Powder (or chicken, if preferred) to use as bouillon. Just add good quality salt for the best flavor, because it contains just one ingredient (no salt). (Good news: At checkout, use code MEGAN15 for 15% off your order.)
- The recipe for a flavorful 3-ingredient bouillon powder to make, using this Beef Bone Broth Powder (or chicken) as the main ingredient.
- The recipe for making bouillon powder into a flavorful 5-ingredient broth for use in soups, sauces or to drink by the mug.
I often use this Beef Bone Broth Powder by itself (no spices, 1 ingredient), with salt added, to my cooking. (I also use their Organic Chicken Broth Powder.)
But I developed, and know some of you will use and appreciate, a complete bouillon recipe with even more flavor — so it can stand on its own or impart a ton of flavor to recipes without any/many other herbs, spices, tasting or doctoring of a recipe.
Use any of these three recipes just as you would a store bought bouillon cube, powder or paste. The only difference? This one’s MUCH healthier, awesomely sourced and contains only a few ingredients — so it’s very fast to mix up, and then store with your herbs and spices.
Want to use it straight from the bag, by the scoop? The protein content is a wonderful 13g per serving!
Ingredients in Best Grass-fed Bone Broth Bouillon recipe
To make liquid bouillon, you’ll need 5 ingredients + water:
- coconut aminos
- quality salt
- onion powder
- Red Boat fish sauce (optional but recommended, does not taste fishy)
- Beef Bone Broth powder (Find it here, or chicken here. At checkout, use code MEGAN15 for 15% off your order.)
I don’t recommend boiling this broth recipe. Heat it gently until it’s hot and steamy, and then it’s ready to serve.
Or use in soups, sauces or by the mug without boiling. A brief slow simmer is fine. (Boiling broth can de-nature proteins and cause bitterness.)

How to make easy Bone Broth Bouillon powder
To make just bouillon powder that’s ready to scoop and use — combine just the dry ingredients in a mason jar. When ready to use, give it a quick stir to be sure the ingredients are evenly mixed, then measure:
- Use 1/4 cup bouillon powder for every 2 to 4 cups of soup, depending on how much flavor is needed.
- Use bouillon powder in sauces, to taste, whisking in 1 Tablespoon at a time.
How to mix and store
- Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl or mason jar. Mix well.
- Store in airtight spice storage container (like this for less or this for larger capacity).

WHOA
I make gallons of broth for basically free. I’m astonished.
Megan says
Hi Helene, yes, it’s not for everyone, but it’s a great pantry staple for people who can’t or don’t make their own bone broth, or for those meals where many of us are grateful for a pantry staple that helps us put dinner on the table when the fridge is almost empty. So many busy families trying to eat well. 🙂 Sometimes families have the money but not the time. And from owning our own food business, I know how hard it is for the business owner to create a quality product like this and make a living (almost impossible for small businesses to survive).
Andryea says
Hi Megan,
Thanks for sharing the link to the powdered bone broth! I need this and went to shop immediately and filled my cart up with some of the chicken and the beef. When I went to checkout however the MEGAN15 coupon was rejected with a message saying ‘MEGAN15 discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart’. I wonder, what am I doing wrong??
Megan says
Hi Andryea, I’m sorry that the code wasn’t working. I contacted the company, they apologized, and it’s working now! Best, and so glad it’s helpful for you!

This looks like a handy boullion recipe. I’ve used the bone broth powder you recommend in the chicken broth variety, and it’s delicious, with no off taste. I didn’t realize they have beef bone broth powder, so I may try that one next.
Megan says
Great, Dorothy, yes, the beef product is brand new! 🙂 So glad you enjoy the chicken one.
Dorothy says
No wonder I hadn’t seen it. Good for them for offering it!
Bernie says
I am looking for an AIP friendly bone broth powder. I am new to this whole way of eating. I don’t see anything in the ingredients that wouldn’t be compliant with the AIP diet I now am on but I just wanted to make sure that this is AIP compliant. There’s only grass fed bone and filtered water. Are you sure there is nothing else that wouldn’t be complaint with the AIP. Thank you for the link
Megan says
That’s correct, Bernie. It’s such a unique product, pure, no extra ingredients, AIP compliant, and well sourced. 🙂
