Strawberry Lemon Smoothie (Paleo, AIP, Vegan)

Strawberry Lemon Smoothie is super tart from fresh lemon juice, and it's rich with creamy strawberries. It's as much a healthy slushie as it is a smoothie -- full of tropical vibes and popping with flavor!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces strawberries frozen
  • 1-¼ cups milk of choice such as almond for Paleo, or oat milk for Gluten-free (I only buy Three Trees' brand Original 2-ingredient Almond or Malk brand, because both are clean, with no added vegetable oils, gums or vitamins. Look for them in your natural foods markets.)
  • juice of 1 large lemon about 3 Tablespoons to 1/4 cup (make sure to use fresh lemon juice)
  • 5 Tablespoons liquid sweetener such as maple syrup or agave
  • pinch of sea salt or Potassium Salt

Instructions

  • Place frozen strawberries in blender. Add remaining ingredients.
  • Blend until smooth. (I like to start on low speed and increase to high speed.) Use a spatula to release any air bubbles by the blade if the mixture is super thick, and then re-blend, as needed.
