Notes

How to make this recipe with maple sugar

To make this recipe refined sugar-free, Paleo and AIP, use maple sugar.
  1. Combine 1 Tablespoon maple sugar with 1/2 teaspoon beet powder. Stir together with a spoon, using the back of the spoon to smash the beet powder into the maple sugar.
Because maple sugar is wetter than cane or white sugar, it takes about twice as long to combine the color into the sugar.
That's it, easy!
