Homemade Limeade is made with your sweetener of choice: honey, maple syrup, agave nectar, or for Keto, low carb sweetener. In small saucepan, create Honey (or preferred sweetener) Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup water, sweetener and sea salt over medium heat. Stir until sweetener and salt are fully dissolved. Remove from heat. (Water should not come to a simmer.)
In a large pitcher or mason jar with lid, combine Simple Syrup, remaining water and fresh lime juice. (Taste to see if you like more water, sweetener or lime juice, and adjust if needed.)
Pour over ice to serve. Garnish with slices of lime, and/or fresh mint. Optional, garnish with a drizzle of Basil Simple Syrup.
